Volunteers from Friends of Grays Town Park and the Orchards Forum spent a fruitful Sunday morning removing a huge amount of dumped rubbish from the back of Grays Town Park.

Chair of the Riverside Community Big Local, Andy Blakey, said;

“We are really grateful tothese volunteers for giving up their free time to help clean up the park and make our community that little bit better.”

Following the clean up, everyone enjoyed a well earned cupof coffee in the newly opened Grays Town Park Cafe.

The next clean ups will be on Saturday 2nd of April, meeting in John Street at 9am, and 9th of April, 9am meeting at the car park in front of the Elm Road Open Space.

Any new volunteers will get a friendly welcome – all equipment is provided and even if you can only come along for half an hour, you will help to make a difference.
